Radio Theater

Radio play group

From The Mercury Theatre to A Prairie Home Companion, the radio play is a uniquely American art form, and one of this country’s most beloved.  During the 1930s through 50s, live performances of plays broadcast over the radio were a part of everyday life. The Arts Radio Network Theatre Project is a unique combination of the nostalgia of classic radio drama, and the excitement of a live theatrical performance. Come see the golden age of radio brought gloriously back to life on stage at Arts Garage, featuring some of South Florida’s finest actors! It’s a trip to the past with a modern twist.

WLRN Radio Theater – a monthly series of radio plays performed at venues throughout South Florida, and broadcast on WLRN on the second Sunday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  Performance venues include Old School Square in Delray Beach, the Broward Centre for the Performing Arts’ Abdo New River Room, and the Tropic Cinema in Key West.  For more information, and a list of upcoming performances and broadcasts, visit www.wlrn.org/program/wlrn-radio-theater.
